Remember those blocks you played with as a child? One day you used them to create a castle with a bubbling moat. Other days they become lounge chairs for your Barbies. Oftentimes when we have a story that demands telling we need this same sort of play. In this class we’ll read short excerpts from published authors and then try our hand at different essay forms. You will leave with a better understanding of how form can be used to structure your piece or inhabit the voice of the form to reveal unexpected insights and create momentum.
